The first time I saw Betty Who was back in 2023, and I walked away feeling uplifted, energized, and grateful for artists who give their all. Seeing her again on The OUT OF THE Darkness Tour at House of Blues Cleveland on June 24 brought back all of those same feelings, and then some. If this tour is about stepping into the light, then Cleveland left fully illuminated.
There’s something special about a pop show that doesn’t just make you dance but also makes you feel; feel joy, feel seen, feel unstoppable. Betty delivered all that and more with her signature blend of bold pop, undeniable charisma, and pure joy.
The night kicked off with rising star Molly Grace, who immediately won over the crowd with her infectious energy and glittering stage presence. Backed by her powerhouse performers, The Lover Girls—Mary Clark Webb and McKenna Hall—Molly served high-energy choreography, polished vocals, and plenty of heart. Molly Grace’s cover of “I Wanna Dance With Somebody” also gave both of her backup signers their moment to shine, showing off their incredible talent. Between her hit “FEMME” and a teaser of her upcoming single “Soprano” (dropping this Friday, July 4th), Molly Grace proved herself to be a Polly Pocket princess with a pop star punch. She was the perfect match to open the night and set the tone.
When Betty Who hit the stage, it felt like a homecoming. Dressed in confidence and lit by the love of her fans, she radiated joy and connection. Laughing between songs, shouting out familiar faces in the crowd (including one fan who’s been to every single show on tour), and dancing her heart out alongside standout dancers Sebastian Gonzalez Molina and Chris Jarosz, Betty brought her full self to the stage and the crowd gave it right back.
A few standout moments lit up an already glowing set. “I Remember” had the crowd swaying and singing along, a clear fan favorite that Betty delivered with heart. Later, “I CAN BE YOUR MAN” brought a burst of pure pop energy, its chorus still echoing in my head days later. In a sweet surprise, Molly Grace rejoined Betty on stage for a surprise cover of Sabrina Carpenter’s “Taste,” adding a personal and playful touch that felt like a celebration of friendship and shared artistry.
At one point, Betty told the crowd, “This is the thing I love to do more than anything,” and you could feel the truth in every word. From the choreography to the connection she created with her fans, her passion poured into every second of the show. It wasn’t just a concert—it was a celebration of music, movement, and community.
The OUT OF THE Darkness Tour lives up to its name, shining bright with love, joy, and unapologetic self-expression. If you ever get the chance to see Betty Who live, take it. You’ll leave smiling, sweating, and counting down the days until you can do it all again.
