Brandon’s World Celebrates 10 Seasons

Brandon’s World, a sports podcast on the Voltage Live Creative Networks hosted by Brandon Lewis -- Voltage Live’s sports director and co-host of Championship Rings, will be celebrating its 10th season starting Thursday, Sept. 4 in conjunction with the start of the 2025 NFL Season.

Lewis launched Brandon’s World as an independent YouTube show on Sept. 3, 2018. Shortly after, the show turned into a radio show on what was formerly known as Kent State University’s (KSU) Black Squirrel Radio (BSR), now known as Black Squirrel Entertainment. Brandon’s World’s run on BSR would last until Lewis’ graduation from KSU in May 2021.

Following graduation, Brandon’s World would take a summer hiatus before Lewis would re-launch the show into an audio podcast in September. In April 2022, Lewis would expand the podcast, making the podcast available on YouTube as a video podcast as well. Lewis would agree to collaborate with Voltage Live and bring the podcast to the Voltage Live Creative Networks in March 2023 as part of his deal to become sports director for the company.

Season 9 was the most successful season of the podcast to date, with the YouTube channel generating over 24,000 views since September 2024, and the audio podcasts receiving over 1000 downloads in the same time frame.

The first episode of Season 10 will see the return of “Brandon’s Best Bets”, where Brandon picks five NFL games against the spread every week during the NFL season. The host states that football season is the busiest time of the year for the podcast.

Brandon’s World launched as an independent podcast just in time for the start of the 2021 NFL Season, and it’s crazy to say that as we embark on the 2025 NFL Season, Brandon’s World, as a brand, is stronger today than it ever has been, and that in part has to do with the NFL being the most popular sport in the U.S. Almost everybody loves a good football podcast,” Lewis stated.

He added that post football season the expansion into the NBA Playoffs, March Madness and wrestling has helped the growth of the show.

“There is no days off,” Lewis continued. “Every Tuesday and Thursday Brandon’s World is there for you. Whether it's the NFL, or the NBA, or MLB, or college sports, or wrestling, or heck, even reality TV occasionally (we aren’t just sports!), Brandon’s World is truly a 365-day a year avenue for sports fans, and that is thanks to the support I have at Voltage Live.”
