As a reminder, I rate my books 1 to 10 in the following 8 categories
Then, because personal enjoyment matters most and can often trump most technical issues, we rate it on a scale of 1-20.
So when all these are added up, we have the following percentage to star breakdown:
Let’s also not forget the spice key, because I am a person of taste, and covers can be deceiving.
I love 10 Things I Hate About You, so I was really excited to dive into this enemies-to-lovers arc. Maybe it’s because it took me a while to finish (life and work, you know how it is), but something about it just felt a little off.
Don’t get me wrong—I still really enjoyed the book! But even though Kate and I are super similar, I found it hard to get fully invested in her and Christopher’s relationship. They weren’t major players in Book 1, so it felt like I didn’t have much to latch onto going in.

Chloe, you’ve done it again. People always mention Invisible String when talking about stories like this, but honestly? It fits—completely.
Like Juliet, I’m a sucker for romance novels, I have celiac, and I deal with joint issues. Seeing a love story where someone like me is fully seen and loved? It makes my hopeless romantic heart believe that maybe one day, I can have what Juliet and Will have.

I didn’t think I’d enjoy an orchestra-based romance as much as I did, but this one surprised me! The plot and pacing were spot-on, engaging without dragging. My only real gripe is that the characters didn’t feel fully fleshed out. Still, it’s a quick, easy read that’s perfect for a rainy day.

As someone who works in entertainment, I love a good musician romance, and this one delivered. It nailed what it’s like to exist inside stan culture. I swear Jessica James had to be inspired by Fleetwood Mac, because the vibes between Valerie and Caleb were giving major rock band drama, just with a much happier ending.
Also, the bi representation?? Incredible. I love that no matter who Valerie ends up with, she’s still bi. We love a character whose identity isn’t tied to their partner.

Y’all, I am so emotional to have finally finished Lore Olympus in its entirety. I started the series way back when it first launched on Webtoon, but lost track about halfway through Season 2. Recently, I decided to give it another shot, and I ended up devouring the entire series in under a month.
One of the many standout aspects of Lore Olympus is how it handles heavy topics with so much grace and thoughtfulness. It never feels forced, just honest and beautifully done. While I read most of the physical books, I ended up finishing the final chapters online through Webtoon.
The ending wrapped up so many storylines in such a satisfying way. Watching these characters grow into the best versions of themselves? Truly an honor. What a ride.
